Hello again!

It feels like ages ago since my last post, but it’s actually been only eight days! Anyway, I’m back with a cute winter shaker featuring the adorable BB Snow Buddies for November’s Birthday Project Challenge at the MFT Blog.

I’ve said it many times, shakers are not my favorite interactive cards to make, but with the MFT shaker pouches, it’s so easy and simple. You get less bulk and no stuck sequins in the double layers of foam tape, that we would normally use. For this card, I used one of the A2 Rectangle Shaker Pouches that are perfectly sized for the A2 Rectangle Frame Die-namics.

I started by inking a nice little ombré background with Distress Inks. Once it dried, I went in with the Snowfall Horizontal Stencil and some white embossing paste, that I sprinkled with Rock Candy glitter.

I embossed one of the sentiments from the Polar Penguins stamp set in silver directly onto the slope, die cut with the Snowy Hillside Die-namics.

Then, I stamped the cute stamps from Birdie Brown’s BB Snow Buddies with Extreme Black Hybrid Ink and colored them with Copic markers. I used 3D foam to adhere the characters to the shaker window.

I hope you join us for the November Birthday Project Challenge. You might just be the lucky winner of a $50 gift voucher to the MFT Boutique.
