Yay, we’re half way through the MFT May Release Countdown! Today I’m sharing an elegant Thank You card created with the Brilliant Butterflies and matching dies.

Day 3
The name of this set is accurate, because these layer stamps are absolutely brilliant! The result is totally different, depending on what color inks you choose for the different layers…

Thank you card created with the stamp set Brilliant Butterflies by MFT.

I used Coral Crush, Peach BelliniLemon DropSour Apple and Gumdrop Green Premium Dye Inks for the wings, Extreme Black Hybrid Ink for the bodies and platinum embossing for the top lace layer. Besides the five butterflies that you can see in the pictures, I stamped and die cut over twenty of them that you will see in another project on Monday…

After preparing the butterflies, I went to work on my 9″ x 6 1/2″ (22,8cm x 16,5cm) cardbase. I used the largest stamp from the Dandelion Greenery set and Sour Apple Premium Dye Ink to do some tone on tone stamping on a piece of Sour Apple Card Stock. Next, I trimmed it to 2″ x 6 1/2″ (5cm x 16,5cm) and adhered it to the cardbase with double sided tape.

For the sentiment, I chose one of the stamps from the Happy Hummingbirds set, which I stamped in Extreme Black Hybrid Ink directly onto the cardbase. Finally I popped up three of the brilliant butterflies with foam squares and added some clear and green rhinestones.
