(Muy pronto en español) Hello there! I’m stopping by with a very sweet card that I made to inspire you to participate in Color Challenge 146 at the MFT Blog.

The color combo is really fresh and easy to work with. It reminded me of ice cream, so I diecut three cones with the Ice Cream Cone Die-namics out of  KraftCoral Crush, Summer Splash and Tickled Pink card stock.

I also cut some sprinkles using the Cupcake and Sprinkles Die-namics out of card stock backed with Scor-Tape. Before assembling the sweet ice cream cones, I did some shading on the elements with Prismacolor pencils…

Then I went to work on the panel… I knew I needed an extra wide one to fit all three cones, so I did some partial die cutting with the largest die from the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 1 Die-namics to create one that measures 6 3/8″ x 4 1/8″ .

After that, I grabbed Coral Crush, Summer Splash and Tickled Pink Premium Dye Inks, smeared some ink on a large acrylic block and diluted it with water.

Next, I used a paint brush to splatter each color onto my panel, letting them dry in between, so that they wouldn’t blend. Once the panel was completely dry, I adhered it to a slightly larger panel of Summer Splash Card Stock and then to a cardbase of Milk Chocolate Prestige Card Stock.

All that was left before assembling, was to partly stamp one of the phrases from the Sweet Sentiments stamp set on some Heavyweight Translucent Vellum and diecut it with one of the banners from the Skinny Strips Die-namics, an absolute must-have for me!

To complete the message, I added the word «sweet» , die cut in Milk Chocolate Prestige Card Stock, with one of the dies from the Sweet Die-namics set. Finally, I assembled everything, adhering the ice cream cones with thin foam squares.
