Hoy comparto una elegante tarjeta con coloridas hojas otoñales, que hice para el reto Slimline de agosto en el blog de MFT.

El tema de este mes es el otoño y para mí no hay nada como dar un paseo por el bosque una fría mañana de octubre.

I started by grabbing a couple of sheets of Ken Oliver Watercolor Paper and a bunch of Premium Dye Inks, which you can see in the gallery at the end of this post, and went to work…

After I was done ink smooshing and blending, I die cut a bunch of leaves with the Falling Leaves Die-namics. I inked the edges of the leaves with Kraft Premium Dye Ink so that no white would show and spoil the realism.

For the background I went with the Slimline English Brick Wall Stencil and black tinsel embossing powder on Black Licorice Prestige Card Stock. After I was done with the embossing, I die cut my panel with the largest die from the Slimline Double Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics. I then adhered it to an 8 1/2″ x 7″ card base (21,6cm x 17,8cm) of the same card stock and added the leaves.

Next, I heat embossed one of the phrases from the Autumn Blessings stamp set on a banner of Heavyweight Translucent Vellum in copper. I hid two layers of mini glue dots behind some of the words to adhere it to my card.

As a last touch I scattered black rhinestones around the leaves. I love how they pop against the dark background. You might want to have a look at ESTA tarjeta with a similar look before you go. Thanks for stopping by and don’t forget to head on to the MFT Blog for more inspiration from the DT.
