Back in 2013, when I discovered My Favorite Things, I would have never imagined what the future had in store for me. Today one of my dreams has come true…
I’ll be joining the My Favorite Things Design Team! For the occasion, I’m showing you my latest card created with their products. It’s an interactive card that I made using the adorable chemists from the BB Cute Chemists stamp set, designed by my favorite MFT illustrator Torico, alias Birdie Brown.
When you pull the tab, the chemists toast each other with their test tube drinks, LOL. This stamp set was not created specifically for this type of card, so I had to do some creative masking and partial stamping to separate the arms from their bodies. I also had to finish cutting the shapes by hand.
Here you can see the card in action:
For the background, I used one of the stencils from the Card-Sized Confetti Set and some Distress Inks, which I applied with sponge daubers. I colored the stamps with Copic markers and added some tiny enamel hearts and drops of Glossy Accents as a finishing touch.
My passion for cardmaking and especially for interactive cards, has taken me far and I feel so blessed… I couldn’t be more thankful to Kim, Jody, Stephanie and Karolyn for giving me this opportunity and for believing in me. A very special thanks to all of my faithful followers for your support. I’ll be back tomorrow with the March Release Countdown!
