Hi again! I’m back with a CAS Birthday cake card that I made for the Weekly Sketch Challenge #431 at the MFT blog. It features the wonderful Birthday Cake Die-namics that I was dying to use!
First let’s have a look at the sketch and then I’ll tell you a little bit more about the card…
This time it’s vertical, but you can interpret it horizontally if you wish… we just need to see, that you’ve been inspired by the sketch. You can make any type of project to participate in the challenge and you don’t even have to use products by My Favorite Things, although who wouldn’t want to? ^_^
Just remember to add a picture of your project to the InLinkz at the end of the post on the MFT blog in order to be eligible for the 50$ gift voucher.
Whenever I make a Birthday cake, I need it to look delicious, both in real life as in a card. So I used cardstock in Tickled Pink
and Milk Chocolate
to cut the layers. In my head it’s a strawberry mousse chocolate cake… yummy! I partially diecut one of the dies from the A2 Rectangle Frames Die-namics
to make it taller, in order to frame the cake.
Lastly I invite you to head on to the MFT blog to find more info about the challenge and to see more inspiration from the DT. I’ll be back tomorrow… Hasta mañana!
