Two cards and a candle for the MFT April Card Kit Release

Inlay cards in soft colors for the MFT April Card Kit Release.

Hello! The MFT April Card Kit Count Down has reached it’s end and to celebrate the Release, I’ve made two cards and decorated a candle with stamps from the Flower Silhouettes set.

To decorate the candle, I followed THIS YouTube tutorial by Stamping Jill. It’s really easy, you just need some tissue paper and wax paper. And the flower silhouettes look so great on a candle… I used the same neutral colors, that I used for today’s cards, but I bet they would look awesome in bright colors as well.

So to make the cards, I started out with two 4 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ (11,5cm x 11,5cm) panels of Kraft and Primitive White card stock. I stamped the silhouettes in Milk Chocolate, Kraft and Cement Gray Premium Dye Ink.

Next, I die cut the panels with dies from the Inside & Out Stitched Square Stax Die-namics and inlaid the pieces in alternating colors on the 9″ x 4 1/2″ (22,9cm x 11,5cm) card bases.

The last step was to stamp a little sentiment from the Anything-but-Basic-Encouragement set in Milk Chocolate Premium Dye Ink. I love the result and this look would be great for Wedding or Christening invitations.

And that’s all for today. As always, I now invite you to head on to the MFT blog to check out the Flower Silhouettes Card Kit and links to the DT projects. Thank you for your visit… have a great day!
