CAS Mermaid card for Day

Yay, only one more day to go until the MFT July products are released! I made a clean and simple card with the Mermaid for Each Other stamp set.

I noticed that there were a bunch of fun smaller stamps in the set, so I decided to create a fun ocean themed wreath around one of the mermaids.

I stamped her -and all of the little critters a bunch of times- and colored them with the following markers:

Mermaid’s hair: BG15, Bg13 and BG10

Mermaid’s skin: E04, E11 and E21

Mermai’d top and tail: G43, G40, B02, B01 and B00

Arm floaties: R24, R22 and R20

Critters: R24, R22, R20, YR65, YR61, Y15, Y13, G43, G40, B02, B01, BV02, BV01

Then I die cut them and popped them up with some Thin White Foam Squares. I also added drops of Glossy Accents for some extra interest.

I coupled our “Free with $60” die set “Simply Cheers Die-namics” with one of the sentiments from the Mermaid for Each Other set. To make it more ocean themed, I embossed the lower half of the letters with sand colored Distress Embossing Powder. I think I should have added another layer, because it looks kind of greenish, but I like it anyway…
