Stitched blooms for Color Challenge 125

Card with stitched blooms for color challenge 125 at MFT.

Hey, I’m back with a colorful card featuring flowers from the Stitched Blooms Die-namics. I made it using the gorgeous palette from the new Color Challenge (#125) at the MFT Blog.

I love this combo… those flowers really pop against the kraft colored panel!

I started by stamping the Wood Plank Background stamp with Kraft Premium Dye Ink on a piece of Kraft Card Stock. Then I cut it in strips with a pair of scissors, following the outlines of the planks. Next, I distressed the borders with a nail file and inked them with Walnut Stain Distress Ink. I adhered them on a piece of kraft paper and partially stamped one of the phrases from the Bitty Birthday Wishes stamp set on one of the planks.

I then complimented the sentiment with three layered Little Hello die cuts, cut out of Persimmon Card Stock, popped up the planks on a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ top fold cardbase with foam tape and inserted a bunch of flowers and leaves behind it, as well as in the crevasses.

If you’ve popped by before, you know that my favorite embellishment is enamel dots! This time I glued them to the centers of the flowers and they really add a nice, much needed shiny touch, to an otherwise matte card.

That’s it for today, please join us for a chance to win a $50 voucher to the MFT Boutique. Thanks for your visit! ^_^
