Hi there! Last month I was on vacation and couldn’t participate in the premiere of the awesome MFT Vault Feature so I was dying to play with some of the re-edited MFT classics for the September Vault Release. For Day 1, I made two gamer cards featuring the Game Controller Die-namics and Level Up stamp set.
I love video games and have owned a bunch of gaming systems, starting with the Commodore 64, back in the eighties, LOL! Nowadays I mostly play multiplayer games with the kids, either on our Wii U or Nintendo Switch, but I still consider myself a gamer. 🙂

For the first card, I used the mini controllers from the Game Controller Die-namics and I guess they reminded me of the Xbox, because I totally went for their color scheme; green, black and white.

For the background panel, I used the All the Stars Cover-Up Die-namics, my favorite green card stock and one of the designs from the Over the Rainbow Paper Pack. I embossed the sentiment on a strip of vellum and the icon on some white card stock, which I then die cut. Then I hid strips of Scor-tape behind the letters and folded and glued the ends to the back of the panel.

As always, I used some enamel dots (both shiny and matte) to embellish, before I moved on to the second card…

I of course took advantage of the left over stars from the first card, to create an inlay background for the second one. It features the large controller from the Game Controller Die-namics and it was so much fun to put together! I used Steel Grey Card Stock backed with Stick-It adhesive for the details and even layered the circles, to make them look more like joysticks.

I absolutely love the sentiment and I’m sure I’ll use it a bunch, especially in Birthday Cards for teenagers… This one will actually go to Gabriel, a young man who turns 19 in November.

That’s it from me for today! Please click on through to the MFT Blog to be linked to the awesome projects that my teammates have created for you using this month’s Vault products! We’ll have even more inspiration for you tomorrow, BUT the vault products are available for purchase now!!!
