Hello! For this week’s sketch challenge (WSC460) I made a clean and simple Christmas card with a tone on tone background using the Ho Ho Ho Background.
I stamped it with Wild Cherry Premium Ink on Electric Red Card Stock. The result is almost too discreet, but it definitely adds some interest to an otherwise plain card.
This week’s sketch is simple yet versatile and I’m sure that you can come up with a bunch of fun projects (cards, home decor, layouts, etc) that features it:
On the close up below, you can see the effect of the tone on tone stamping a little bit better… The cute image is from the BB Christmas sELFies stamp set. I colored it with Copic markers and Prismacolor pencils and cut it out with the Polaroid Shaker Die-namics. Then I popped it on my panel (die cut with the largest die from the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 1 Die-namics), with some foam tape.
The sentiment, also from the BB Christmas sELFies stamp set, was heat embossed on a piece of Black Licorice Cardstock. I then die cut it with one of the banners from the Starburst Sentiment Strips Die-namics.
As a last touch, I added some clear and sparkly crystal drops. I hope this tone on tone card and the projects of my teammates, will inspire you to participate in WSC460 and possibly win a $50 gift voucher to the MFT Boutique.
And if you’re interested in more… HERE’s another card with a similar background. Have a great day! ^_^
