Card with faux embossed background for Day 3

Card with faux embossed background for Day 3 of the MFT November Release Countdown.

Hello again! The MFT November Release Countdown continues and today I’m sharing a card with a faux embossed background and stamps from the new BB Doctor’s Orders set.

I started by die cutting a bunch of the band-aids from the Band-Aids Die-namics in Stick-it backed Smooth White Card Stock. I then adhered them to a rectangular panel and ran it through my die cutting machine with the largest die from the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 1 Die-namics.

Next I stamped the cute Doctor from the BB Doctor’s Orders set on some Solar White Neenah Classic Crest with Extreme Black Hybrid Ink and colored it with my Copic markers.

I matched the Doctor’s outfit with a cardbase in Blu Raspberry Card Stock and added some hearts in Ripe Raspberry Prestige Card Stock for an extra pop of color. The sentiment was heat embossed on some Black Licorice Prestige Card Stock and die cut with one of the dies from the Essential Slanted Sentiment Strips Die-namics.

The result is quite fresh and positive and I hope it cheers up a friend who is not going through her best moment… Head on to the MFT Blog to check out what my awesome team mates have made for today and be sure to leave a comment for a chance to win a $75 shopping spree to the MFT Boutique. Thanks for your visit! See you tomorrow!

Thanks! Faux embossing is a great way of adding interest to a card without taking it away from the main image. 🙂
