Colorful card for CC135

Colorful card for CC135 at My Favorite Things.

Hello! I have yet another card to share with you this week… It’s for Color Challenge 135 (CC135) and it features stamps from last month’s PI Soft Place to Land set.

After seeing the color palette, I new that I wanted to create a card with an inkblended panel. It’s a fact that MFT’s Premium Dye Inks blend beautifully on smooth paper!

I started with the Razzle Berry Premium Dye Ink, followed by the Coral Crush and the Lemon Drop (since I didn’t have the Lemon Chiffon). After I was done with the blending, I added water drops to create some beautiful texture.

Initially, I used the Grassy Edges Stencil for the grass, but when partially die cutting the panel with the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 1 Die-namics I made a mistake and cut it off.

I taped it back together and covered the mess with a strip of Limelight Prestige Card Stock diecut with a combination of the Grassy Edges Die-namics and the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 1 Die-namics.

I had previously heat embossed the sentiment and added drops of Limelight Premium Dye Ink and Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink, to the strip. Once the 4 1/8″ x 5 7/8″  panel was ready, I adhered it to a 8 3/4″ x 6 1/8″ white cardbase. Then I added the Pure Innocence girl, stamped with Extreme Black Hybrid Ink, fussy cut and colored with the following Copic Markers:

  • Skin: E21, E11, YR000 + R20
  • Hair: E37, E35, E33 + E31
  • Dress and shoes: G43 + G40
  • Pillow: YR27, YR02, YR01, RV09, RV06 + RV04
  • Socks: C1 + C00

To complete the card, I simply added three hot pink enamel hearts… and that’s it from me for today. Head on to the MFT Blog for more info about this challenge. See you next week!
