Card with floral background for CC136

Card with a floral background for Color Challenge 136 at the MFT Blog.

Hello! I’m back to show you a card with a floral background, that I made for Color Challenge 136 at the MFT Blog.

I simply added some flowers to the Mistletoe Cover-Up Die-namics to create a spring inspired card based on this week’s beautiful palette:

First, I created a 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ cardbase in Kraft Card Stock. Then I die cut two of the Mistletoe Cover-Ups in Jellybean Green Card Stock and stacked them, before shaping some of the leaves with a ball point stylo. I then adhered the piece to the cardbase and added thin foam adhesive under some of the leaves.

Next, I die cut a bunch of flowers from the Stitched Blooms Die-namics set in Primitive Cream and Peach Bellini Card Stock. Before shaping and adhering them, I prepared a vellum banner with a heat embossed sentiment from the Well, Hello stamp set.

Once it was adhered to the card with some hidden glue dots, I glued the flowers (five cream and three Peach Bellini) to some of the leaves and that’s it. Another  quick and elegant card for my stash.

I hoped you liked this simple card with a floral background… Can you still see the mistletoe or is any trace of Christmas gone? To compare, check out THIS Christmas card with the same Mistletoe Cover-Up Die-namics.
