Yay, the March Release is finally available at the MFT Boutique and I’m celebrating with two rainbow themed projects, for which I used a bunch of the new products!
Firstly, I made my own patterned paper with strips of cardstock and the Straight Up Rainbow Die-namics.
Then I die cut the sentiment using our “Free with $60” product… the gorgeous Hand-Lettered Happy Birthday. For more dimension, I added a couple of layers die cut in Smooth White Card Stock.
I then cut an A2 panel using the largest die from the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 1 Die-namics and an 8 3/4″ x 5 5/8″ (22,2cm x 14,3cm) cardbase in Blu Raspberry Card Stock.
The cute elephants and rainbow from the Double the Fun stamp set were the perfect complement. I colored them using the following Copic markers and popped them up with some thin foam dots:
- Rainbow: R27, R24, r22, y17, y15, y13, G14, G43, G40, B18, B14, B12
- Elephants: W5, W3, W1, W00, R01, R00
To finish the card, I added some matching rainbow themed enamel hearts. I really like how it turned out. ^_^
For the bookmark, I used the partial die cutting technique to make the strips longer. Then I added the adorable cloud on the top.
It sticks out from the closed book and looks great! Besides, since it consists of 4 layers of cardstock (2 clouds, rainbow stripes+backing), it’s quite sturdy.
OK, so that’s all for today. Check out the video clip below if you want to see all of the projects that I made with products from the 2020 MFT March Release.
