Card with ink blended circles for Day 2

Card with ink blended circles for Day 2 of the MFT May Release Countdown.

Hello! Only two days left until the MFT May Release goes live and I’m back with a Mother’s Day card featuring ink blended circles and beautiful hummingbirds.

I had a lot of fun playing with the Extraordinaire Stencils and ended up choosing the background that I created with the Circle and Oval stencils and inserts. The Premium Dye Inks that I used for that one were: Orange Zest, Lemon Drop, Cornflower, Blue Yonder, Blue Breeze and Blu Raspberry.

I was clearly inspired by the movement of the wings of the Happy Hummingbirds and thought that they would be the perfect addition to my card. I stamped them with Extreme Black Hybrid Ink on some Copic friendly card stock and colored them with the following markers; BG18, BG13, BG23, Y17, Y15, Y13, Y11, YR68, YR65, YR61, G43 and G40.

For the sentiment, I went with one of the texts from the Mother’s Day Bouquet stamp set, which I stamped on a circle, die cut with the fourth smallest die from the A2 Stitched Circles STAX Die-namics.

I popped it up in the middle on the ink blended yellow circle, with some fun foam and added some matching enamel dots (and a heart), as a final touch.

I’m quite pleased with the result and I think my mother will like this card a lot… Today is actually Mother’s Day in Spain (although she lives in Finland, where it’s not celebrated until next Sunday), so… ¡Felicidades querida mamá! You’ll get another card next week. ^_^
