Spotlight card for WSC503

Hi there! Welcome back to my blog. Today I’m sharing a card featuring the spotlight technique for WSC503 at the MFT Blog.

This week’s sketch is very versatile and I thought it would lend itself perfectly to the spotlight technique, using the whimsical Fall Florals stamp set. I started with two A2 panels of Smooth White Card Stock and my Misti

…stamping the same image first in color on one panel, and then in Extreme Black Hybrid Ink or Cement Gray Premium Dye Ink, on my second panel. Besides black and gray, I used eight shades of Premium Dye Ink for my stamping.

Once I was happy with the image, I used the largest dies from the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 1 Die-namics and the Stitched Square STAX Die-namics to cut my panels. I also die cut a piece of white fun foam, to pop up my square image on top of the black and white panel.

For the cardbase I went with Black Licorice Prestige Card Stock and the sentiment is from the Essential Sentiments stamp set. I heat embossed it in white on a banner of Heavyweight Translucent Vellum, that I cut by hand. As a last touch, I added three yellow enamel dots in different sizes.
