Hiya! It’s time for the August Card Kit Release and I’m celebrating with a cute magnetic slider card that I made with products from the kit.

It is not my first magnetic slider… HERE’s one from last year, that I created with MFT products and HERE’s a tutorial (in Spanish) for the first one that I made back in 2017. The concept couldn’t be simpler. Instead of die cutting a channel in your panel and adhering a Slider Element to your pulltab, you adhere a couple of thin magnets to your pulltab and matching ones to the back of your moving element.
Let’s check out the card in action, before I tell you more about it:
As you can see, the vehicle slides perfectly over that bumpy road. The inlaid dashed line even add a fun vibration to the movement!

In the above picture you can see the back of the van with the two magnets. If I had used only one, the van would rotate slightly on it’s axis, and that wouldn’t look realistic. But it totally works in THIS other card with a bird, who is flapping it’s wings to get away from the cat!

As the van moves, it reveals a couple of animals from the Better Together stamp set, waving goodbye to the bear. I die cut them with the matching dies and colored them with Copic markers (even the white border).

For the van itself, I used basically the same elements as in yesterday’s card, but I chose a piece of patterned paper from the Road Trippin’ Paper Pad for its body. You can see the rest of the MFT products that I used in the gallery at the end of this blog post.

That’s it from me! I hope you enjoyed my card and checked out the other projects on the MFT Blog. If you have any questions, just leave a comment and I’ll get back to you. Thanks for stopping by and happy shopping! 😉
