Space card for MFT August Hits & Highlights

Space card for MFT.

Hello! Today I’m sharing a cute space card featuring the Blast Off Die-namics, that I created for the August Hits & Highlights feature at the MFT Blog.

I used a left over ink blended rainbow panel to create my space background. I simply grabbed the Chipped Saphire and Black Soot Distress Inks and darkened the colors. Then I splattered some water and white diluted acrylic paint over the whole thing.

Next, I die cut and assembled the space shuttle… I punched a hole through one of the bolts and inserted some silver string as if it were a tether. You might have noticed that it forms a heart shape on its way to the astronaut. To keep it securily in place, I actually sewed it to my panel with two stitches of silver thread.

I attached the other end of the tether to the cute astronaut, from the Best Friends in the Universe stamp set. She is holding a vellum banner, die cut with one of the dies from the Skinny Strips set, with a heat embossed sentiment from the same set.

As a last touch, I added some small and a couple of larger enamel stars. Stop by the MFT Blog to see what some of my talented teammates made with the Blast Off Die-namics.
