City block card for Day 1

City block card for Day 1 of the MFT September Release Countdown.

Just like that, we’re down to the last Countdown Day before the MFT September Release goes live! Today I’m sharing a Christmas card featuring the gorgeous City Block Background stamp.

I stamped it with Extreme Black Hybrid Ink on a piece of Copic friendly card stock. It took a couple of hours to color the whole thing with my Copic markers, but it was a lot of fun… After I was done, to tone down the colors and give it a retro feel, I blended some Cement Gray Premium Dye Ink over the image.

Next, I grabbed the largest die from the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 1 Die-namics and our “Free with $60” product of the month, the beautiful Stacked Merry Die-namics, to die cut my panel.

I also die cut the latter four times out of Black Licorice Card Stock backed with Stick-It adhesive. I stacked all of the die cuts and inlaid them in my panel to create a camouflaged sentiment.

To complete the sentiment, I created a little banner out of Electric Red Card Stock with one of the dies from the Skinny Strips Die-namics and a stamp from the Bitty Holiday Wishes stamp set.

I didn’t think that the card needed any embellishments, but I had a feeling that a couple of right sized Clear Round Drops would look good on top of the circular windows… and they do!

OK, that’s it from me. I can’t wait to see what my awesome teammates made with today’s featured products! Will you join me at the MFT Blog?
