Yay, today I’m celebrating the MFT September Release with a slimline Christmas card filled with cute cats and dogs.
During the countdown, I hadn’t yet used the adorable Peace, Love & Paws stamp set and I was dying to do so. I wanted to fit all of the cats and dogs on my card, so I diecut a panel out of Berrylicious Card Stock using the main die from the Slimline Starter Die-namics. I also die cut a snow slope with one of the Stitched Slimline Snow Drifts out of Smooth White Card Stock.
Next, I splattered diluted white acrylic paint on the panel, to create a snowfall. While it was drying, I stamped the animals with Extreme Black Hybrid Ink on Copic friendly card stock and die cut them with the matching dies.
I colored them with my Copic markers, which are in dire need of some maintenance… especially my browns and grays. Before adhering the critters to my card, I heat embossed one of the sentiments of the set on some Red Hot Card Stock. I then die cut it with the extra long banner, included in the Slimline Starter Die-namics.
As a finishing touch, to draw attention to the sentiment, I added a couple of birds from the Joyous Holidays set. That’s it from me for now… I hope you enjoyed all of the September Release Countdown posts. Thanks for stopping by and Happy Shopping!
