Only two more countdown days before the MFT April Release goes live and I’m back to share a card with birds and birch trees.

I started by die cutting five trees out of Smooth White Card Stock backed with Scor-Tape using the Birch Trees Die-namics. Next I adhered them to Black Licorice Prestige Card Stock and cut them out with my scissors.

Before adhering them to my A2 top fold card base of Caribbean Sea Prestige Card Stock, I shaded them and added some detail with Copic markers W3 and W1.

After that, I stamped some of the images from the Spring Songbird and Tweet Memories stamp sets on Copic friendly card stock. I die cut them with the matching dies and colored them with my markers. As always, I added the smaller details with Prismacolor pencils.

It was so much fun to perch the birds on the tree branches and I played around with them for a while before deciding on their final placement.
Lastly, to finish the card I added a heat embossed sentiment strip die cut with the Phrase Builders Die-namics. I had to do partial die cutting to make it longer.

OK, that’s it for today. I hope you enjoyed my card. Visit the MFT Blog for more inspiration and do come back tomorrow. I have a cute interactive card in store for you.
