Today we’re launching the April Outside the Box challenge at the MFT Blog. I created a summery box card with flowers and the sweet girl from the BB Every Day Is a Picnic stamp set.

In the beginning of April, I made THIS box card with flowers, so I wanted to create a different version this time. I started by diecutting the pieces for the box itself using the Outside the Box Level Up Die-namics, the Outside the Box Grassy Hills Die-namics, and two colors of card stock: Lazy Day and Sour Apple.

I also die cut the side pieces out of patterned paper from the Poppin’ Polka Dots Paper Pad. After assembling the box, I grabbed the flower dies from the Spring Garden Die-namics and different colors of card stock and went to work…

Before adhering the flowers to the box, I stamped, fussy cut and colored the sweet girl with the following Copic colors:
- Skin: E04, E11, 21, E000
- Hair: E59, E37, E35, E33, E31
- Top: Y17, Y15, Y13, C2
- Shorts: B97, B95, B93, B91
- Hat: E33, E31, Y17, Y15, C2, G43, G40

She is the perfect size for this project and the flowers aren’t too big for her. For the sentiment, I chose a phrase from the BB Sunflower Sweetheart set, which I stamped on the strip with faux stitching included in the Outside the Box Level Up Die-namics set.

That’s it for today! I hope you join in the fun, at the MFT Blog. You could be the lucky winner of a $50 gift voucher to the MFT Boutique! Have a great weekend!
