CAS card with unicorns for WSC559

CAS card with unicorns for WSC559 at the MFT Blog.

Howdy! It’s time for a new Wednesday Sketch Challenge (WSC559) at the MFT Blog and I’m sharing a CAS card with unicorns for your inspiration.

This time I followed the sketch to a tee. I started by doing some rainbow ink blending with the following Premium Dye Inks: Red Hot, Fire Coral, Candied Yam, Butterscotch, Lemon Drop, Sour Apple, Field Day, Summer Splash, Lazy Day, Grapesicle, Grape Jelly and Boysenberry.

Instead of adding water droplets, I spritzed the background with a clear Myca spray. Unfortunately the nozzle was a bit obstructed and some really large drops hit the ink blending. This wasn’t my intention but I went with it anyway because the shimmer looked great…

Once the piece of card stock was dry I cut it into two 7/8″ x 6 5/8″ (2,4cm x 16,8cm) strips with my paper trimmer. Next, I adhered them to my 7 3/4″ x 7 1/2″ (19,6cm x 19cm) card base with double sided adhesive.

After that I went to work on the unicorns from the Friendly Unicorns set. I stamped them on Copic friendly card stock with Extreme Black Hybrid Ink, die cut them with the matching dies and colored them with the following Copic markers: R24, R22, R20, YR68, YR65, YR61, BV04, BV02 and BV01.

To finish my card I added some matching enamel stars and that’s it for today. I hope I have inspired you to participate in WSC559. You could be the lucky winner of a $50 gift voucher to the MFT Boutique!
