3D Toolbox card

3D toolbox for Day 3 of the MFT September Release Spotlight.

Howdy! Today I’m stopping by with a realistic, 3D toolbox card that I’m sure you’ll enjoy. I created it for Review Day 3 of the MFT September Release.

I started by die cutting all of the elements for the Cool Caddy Die-namics out of Kraft Card Stock. Before assembling it I stamped the sentiment from the Tool Talk stamp set, on one of the decorative boards, with Milk Chocolate Premium Dye Ink.

Next, I used brown Copic markers and Kraft Premium Dye Ink to add some wood texture and shading. I assembled the structure with liquid glue.

It was a lot of fun to diecut and assemble all of the tools from the In the Toolbox Set 1 Die-namics and In the Toolbox Set 2 Die-namics. I used the following colors of card stock for them:  KraftAmarena CherryLemon DropSno ConeSummer Splash and Gravel Gray.

To make them extra sturdy I layered two of each of the gray parts and before adding the color elements, I rubbed some silver ink (from a broken marker) on them to make them look metallic. I prefer this to using metallic card stock. I also applied some shading with Kraft Premium Dye Ink to make them look used, because my real tools are not shiny and new, LOL.

As you can see the toolbox card fits perfectly inside of an A2 envelope! I kept folding it while adding the tools to make sure that none of them was sticking out too far. That’s all for today! See you on the MFT Blog for more inspiration! You can check out other box cards that I’ve made by CLICKING HERE.
