Floral card created with stencils

Floral card created with MFT stencils.

Hello again! As promised, to celebrate the Release of the MFT Flower Fusion Card Kit, I’m back with a floral card created with the new layering stencils.

Instead of using color inks with the Flower Fusion Stencil Set, I used Watermark ink and different colored embossing powders. This allowed me to choose a darker background. I actually worked on three different colors of card stock at the same time and finally chose Jalapeño Popper Card Stock for my card.

The next step was to die cut a panel with the largest die from the Stitched Mod Rectangle STAX Die-namics. For some nice volume I cut a second layer out of fun foam.

After adhering both panels to an A2 card base of Porcelain White Card Stock I cut a third, smaller one out of Heavyweight Translucent Vellum. It gave me plenty of room for the sentiment (Essential Messages + Essential Hello Die-namics).

After adhering it to my card with hidden slivers of double sided tape, I added yellow and white enamel dots to the centers of some of the flowers.

It was a lot of fun to create this floral card with the layering stencils and I can’t wait to try them with color ink. Thank you so much for stopping by. For more inspiration from the DT, please visit the MFT Blog.
