Hidden content shaker card tutorial

Beer themed hidden content shaker card tutorial for My Favorite Things.

Hello! It’s time for another interactive card tutorial for MFT. This time I’m sharing a hidden content shaker card inspired by JJ Bolton’s beautiful “You color my world” card.

I had been planning on making a tutorial like this since I made THIS similar wine glass shaker card. This time I used the adorable Pint sized Die-namics as the visible shaker containers or wells, as JJ calls them. Before I go into detail let’s watch the card in action in the short clip below:

For the content I used copper colored micro beads by ArtIngredients. They look wonderful and work nicely but slightly larger ones would be even better… These tend to escape through the slit when you play with the card. They are also very sensitive to static electricity as you can see in the video tutorial.

I love the cheerful color theme of this card! I combined patterned papers from the Finishes and Textiles and DBD Wildflowers paper pads with white and copper.

The sentiment is from the Here’s to You stamp set. I heat embossed it with copper embossing powder on a speech bubble cut with the MSTN Say Anything Die-namics.

In hindsight, I probably should have adhered a couple of pieces of white paper behind the pint handles to mask them off. But I like the effect anyway. Thank you so much for stopping by. HERE’s a link to the video tutorial one last time. Below you’ll find the measurements.
