I started by stamping the critters with Extreme Black Hybrid Ink on a panel of Copic friendly card stock. It’s actually the inside piece left over from using the Stitched Rectangle Scallop Edge Frames Die-namics.

The images were so small and detailed that I didn’t mask them to create the background. Instead, I just used my markers and Prismacolor pencils to draw a simple dirt road, a strip of grass and a sky.

I’m no expert at this and the sky turned out kind of blotchy… Maybe I didn’t use enough ink, but it doesn’t bother me too much. After finishing the background, I colored the images with the following markers: W7, W3, W1, W00, E33, E31, YR27, YR24, YR21, C3, C2, C00, R29, R27, R24, B02, B01 and B00.

Next, I adhered both the scalloped frame and the panel to a 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″ piece of Smooth White Card Stock. I then attached it to my A2 card base of Black Licorice Prestige Card Stock.

Finally, I added the clouds, sentiment banner and drops of Glossy Accents (to some details). In hindsight, it would have been cool to apply a light hand of Kraft colored ink over the whole thing. That would have made it look totally vintage. It’s what I did to the wallpaper of THIS spooky Halloween card.
