Today I’m kicking off the brief countdown to the release of the MFT June Card Kit (tomorrow) with a box card featuring a cute beach bungalow.
As I said in my last post, I love ocean themed projects and if you’re like me, the Beach Day Card Kit is an absolute must have! Check out what it includes in the picture below:
I started by die cutting all of the elements with the Beach Bungalow Die-namics and Beach Bungalow Accessories Die-namics out of the following colors of card stock: Red Hot, Smooth White, Summer Splash, Lemon Drop and Eiffel Tower. I also used one of the papers from the MSTN Stars and Stripes Paper Pad, which saved me a lot of coloring time.
To create the structure of the card I chose dies from the Outside the Box Level Up Die-namics, Outside the Box Waves Die-namics and Outside the Box Snow Drifts Die-namics. I used Sno Cone card stock for the sky, Red Hot for the sides, Kraft for the sand and Summer Splash for the ocean. I also added the previously mentioned striped paper to the sides of the box card.
Finally, I stamped the sentiment on a banner of Smooth White with Caribbean Sea Premium Dye Ink. I added the little starfish, to draw the eye to it.
My dentist of the past 25 years recently retired and he loves the ocean, so I’m going to send him this card. I hope he enjoys it as much as I enjoyed creating it.
