Another month has rolled by and it’s time to begin the MFT October Release Countdown! For Day 5, I made a fun teacher appreciation card with the new BB Virtually the Best stamp set and the Let’s Connect Die-namics.
These two products totally adapt to the strange and scary times that we are living in, but in a positive way. Birdie Brown’s fun characters are easy to personalize and color, to represent a specific teacher or student. Now they actually look like some of my son’s friends and teacher!
I started by adhering some patterned paper from the Happy Trails and Woodgrain Whimsy paper pads onto an A2 panel of Smooth White Card Stock. Then I ran it through my die cutting machine with the largest die from the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 1 Die-namics and the smaller rectangle die from the Let’s Connect Die-namics.
Next, I stamped the teacher and the book shelf, with Extreme Black Hybrid Ink, on an0ther same sized panel of Copic friendly card stock and colored them. I also stamped the four kids, one of them twice and die cut them with the speech bubbles from the Let’s Connect Die-namics.
With a couple of pen strokes, I turned one of the boys into a girl with straight black hair and glasses. Before adhering the speech bubbles to my panel (with thin foam squares), I die cut a frame and stand for the computer screen. I also heat embossed the sentiment in white, onto a hand cut banner of Gravel Gray Prestige Card Stock. As a last touch, I added a fussy cut apple from the BB Class Act stamp set. It was the perfect fit!
