Yay! Today the MFT December Card Kit Release goes live and to celebrate, I’m sharing a fun card with a rainbow road and a smiling retro van.

Two days ago, I used the Color Blast Die-namics as a background for THIS CAS card with a marching band. However, this time I turned it vertically and made it into a road.

After die cutting the strips in six different colors of card stock, I inserted them into the die and adhered Score-tape to the back. That way it was easy to adhere my rainbow road to an A2 top fold card base of Smooth White Card Stock.

Next, I stamped the sentiment from the Kit Exclusive Happy Day set on it with Extreme Black Hybrid Ink and went to work on the van… I wanted to make it extra cute so I added some googly eyes, a pink enamel heart and a smile from the Straight-Up Rainbow Die-namics.

To break up the strong vertical design of the card, I added some small clouds, die cut with the Petite Clouds Die-namics, around the sentiment. They actually look like they could have come from the exhaust pipe of the van.

That’s all I have to say about today’s card! I hope you’ve enjoyed this brief December Card Kit Release Countdown as much as I have. Don’t forget to visit the MFT Blog for more projects from the DT. Happy shopping!
