Cheese shadow box card for Day 5

Cheese shadow box card for Day 4 of the MFT February Release Countdown.

Hello! It’s time to kick off the awesome MFT February Release Countdown! For Day 5 I’m sharing a cute shadow box card that looks like a chunk of cheese.

When I saw the BB Mice Day to Celebrate set and the Shadow Box Die-namics I knew immediately I’d make just that. The new Butterscotch Prestige Card Stock was the perfect color for it.

List of Copic markers for cheese shadow box

First I stamped all of the mice on Copic friendly card stock, die cut them with the matching Die-namics and colored them with the following markers; W5, W3, W1, W00, R01, R00 (mice), Y15, Y13 (hat & bow), BG15, BG13, BG11 (hat, bow and candle), R27, R24, R22, and R20 (hat and cherry).

Assembly of the cheese shadow box

Once I was done with the mice I started working on the shadow box itself. I die cut two of the main pieces out of Butterscotch Prestige Card Stock and planned where I would die cut the holes. For that I used dies from three different sets; A2 Circle STAX Die-namicsSlimline Slide-In Die-namics and BB Sunshine & Friendship Die-namics. I also die cut some of them out of masking paper, to use the negatives as templates.  Finally I did some simple ink blending with Lemon Drop and Kraft Premium Dye Ink and assembled the box with strips of Scor-Tape.

I didn’t forget to do this to the sides of the cheese and added a mouse to the left one as well. That way the recipient can see it, when the card is taken out of the A2 envelope.

Lastly I added a sentiment banner die cut out of Tropical Teal Prestige Card Stock with the fish tail banner die from the Slimline Slide-In Die-namics.
