Time flies by when you’re having fun and we’re down to the last Countdown Day before the MFT May Release. I’ve created a card with the adorable houses from the My Neighborhood Die-namics set.
I die cut most of them out of Cement Gray Prestige and Gravel Gray Prestige card stock and assembled them with liquid adhesive. For the center one I used Summer Splash Prestige and Electric Red card stock. I also added a little heart shaped enamel to it.
Next, I die cut the strips of grass with the Grassy Hills Die-namics and A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 1 Die-namics out of three different hues of green. Due to the size difference with the houses, they look more like hedges, which also works. To add some texture, I used the same colored Premium Dye Inks.
Now I was ready to adhere the houses to the strips of grass, the strips of grass to the 4 1/8” x 5 3/8” (10,5cm x 13,7cm) panel of Lazy Day Prestige Card Stock and the completed panel to my 8 3/4″ x 5 5/6″ (22,2cm x 14,3cm) card base of Smooth White Card Stock. Since I wanted everything leveled, I added strips of card stock to the back of each layer. This means that there are seven layers of card stock on the bottom edge of this card! Eight if you count the cardbase.
