Hello! Today I’m here to share a cute XL tag with a mason jar that I created for Day 2 of the brief January MFT Vault Countdown.

I started by stamping my own discreet plaid on Summer Splash Card Stock with the Plaid Background Builder and two tones of Premium Dye Ink: Summer Splash and Caribbean Sea. My ink cubes were a little bit dry but I like the slightly distressed look of the imperfect lines. It almost looks like fabric instead of paper!

Next, I used dies from the Mason Jar Die-namics and Blueprints 9 Die-namics sets to cut the tag with a window (five times!). The idea was to create a shaker with no foam tape. I also used the mason jar die to emboss a piece of acetate. The screw threads on the mouth of the jar and the domed shape really add realism!

Next, I cut a bunch of hearts out of Ripe Raspberry and Cotton Candy card stock. I layered them thinking that they would shake better with the added weight and dimension. I also cut the lid twice out of Eiffel Tower Card Stock. To add some metallic shine to it I rubbed it with silver ink.

Before assembling everything, I stamped the sentiment from the Mason Jar Labels set with Extreme Black Hybrid Ink on my tag. I heat embossed another sentiment from the same set on a label cut with the Mason Jar Mug Die-namics. To make it look like one of those chalk board stickers, I rubbed it with white ink.

To finish the tag I added scalloped topper and edge pieces cut out of Smooth White Card Stock. I also punched a hole to add a cute matching ribbon. Before you leave, HERE’s a card with an XL tag that you might enjoy. Thanks for stopping by! Please visit the MFT Blog for more inspiration from the DT.
