Howdy! For Spotlight Day 2 of the MFT December Release (and for my monthly video tutorial) I made a simple slider card featuring a soda bottle from the Soda Pop Die-namics set.

Before I tell you more about the card let’s have a look at it, in action in the video clip below:
As you can see, when we pull on the slider panel, all of the cola disappears revealing a cute red heart…

I had a lot of fun turning a piece of acetate into coke by applying a couple of layers of Copic reinker E57 (Light Walnut). It looks pretty realistic, although I would have loved to be able to create some tiny bubbles as well.

The clean and simple card is very retro thanks to the Wild Cherry + Summer Splash + Smooth White combo and the Stitched Mod Rectangle STAX Die-namics. I almost added some light gray rays with the Sunny Rays Stencil and I’m sure it would have looked even cooler…
