Yay, it’s time to kick off the MFT February Release Countdown and I’m doing it with a fun movie themed card featuring an iconic scene from the JB Big Screen Scenes stamp set.
I used the following Copic markers to color the image: YR27, YR24, YR21, B97, B95, E49, E57, E35, E33, E31, G99, G94, W7, W5, W3 and W1. To get some nice detail and texture I also used sharp Prismacolor pencils.
Faux leather effect
Once I was done with the coloring I went on to work on the background panel. I misted a piece of Vintage Timber Card Stock on both sides and crumpled it. After drying it I inked the creases with Vintage Timber Premium Dye Ink. Next, I die cut my panel with a die from Blueprints 31 Die-namics and adhered it to a second same sized panel with liquid glue. To get that leather finish I applied a layer of Distress Glaze with a soft cloth. I love the result!
I die cut all of the pieces from the Classic TV Die-namics out of Summer Splash, Gravel Gray and Brushed Silver card stock. After heat embossing the sentiment onto a banner cut with a die from the Blueprints 23 Die-namics, I adhered everything to an A2 card base of Caribbean Sea Card Stock.
As a last touch, to balance my movie themed card, I added a couple of metallic brads to the upper corners. Thanks for stopping by! Head on to the MFT Blog for more inspiration from the DT!
