Christmas card in a box for MFT October & Friends

Christmas card in a box for October MFT & Friends.

Yay, it’s time to celebrate the MFT October & Friends and thus the launch of the October release! I’ve created a Christmas card in a box with a bunch of the new products, that I hope you’ll enjoy.

First, let me say, that I can’t get over how quick and easy it is to make one of these cards with the Outside the Box Die-namics! I started by cutting the main parts out of Smooth White and Berrylicious card stock. Then I cut the matching square and rectangle out of patterned paper, from the Christmas Cheer Paper Pad. For the inside pieces, I went with the Outside the Box Waves Die-namics and Sno Cone Card Stock.

After assembling the box with Score-tape, I stamped and die cut a bunch of critters from the Partners in Adventure and Warm Hugs and Frosty Kisses sets. Somehow I managed to use them all! However, since I adhered the hot air balloon and cloud hanging off the upper edge, the card won’t fit in a standard A2 envelope. It fits perfectly in a square one though.

Next, I heat embossed the beautiful sentiment on a strip of Red Hot Card Stock and adhered it to the front of the box. I think it draws attention and ties the whole color scheme together.

For the finishing touches, I added Nuvo Fresh Snow Glitter Accents to the ice and trees, and Glossy Accents to the noses.

OK, that’s everything there is to tell about this project… If you want to see another recent Christmas card in a box, that you might have missed, check it out HERE. I can’t wait to see who the MFT guests are today! Why don’t you join me in finding out, at the MFT Blog? Have an amazing day!
