Shark box card for CC156

Shark box card for CC156 at the MFT Blog.

Hello again! I’m back with a cute shark box card for Color Challenge 156 at the MFT Blog.

This week’s cool color palette is ideal to create a snow scene or an ocean themed card.

I went with the latter and diecut the shark from the Baby Shark Die-namics out of Cement Gray Prestige (I didn’t have Grout Gray), Black Licorice Prestige, Smooth White and Red Hot card stock.

To make the Cement Gray Prestige Card Stock a little bit lighter, I actually adhered a piece of Translucent Vellum to it with Stick-It adhesive. Then I used it to diecut the shark’s body.

For the box card itself, die cut with the Outside the Box Die-namics and Outside the Box Waves Die-namics, I used Blueberry and Berrylicious card stock. I also decorated it with patterned paper from the Woodgrain Whimsy and Happy Trails paper pads and clear drops.

Finally, I added a banner die cut with one of the dies from the Essential Stitched Sentiment Strips Die-namics, with a heat embossed phrase from the Sharky Sentiments set.

As you can see, the 3D box card fits snugly in a 5 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ (14cm x 14cm) envelope, which makes it perfect for mailing.  That’s it from me for today. I hope you participate in CC156. We can’t wait to see your creations! Thank you for stopping by and Merry Christmas!
