Floral sympathy card for WSC528

Floral sympathy card for WSC528.

Hello again! After a brief break, I’m back with a floral sympathy card that I created for WSC528, at the My Favorite Things Blog.

It features the camouflage technique and the gorgeous Floral Focus stamp set, that I hadn’t used before. I stamped it on a panel of Copic friendly card stock, die cut with the largest die from the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 1 Die-namics. To create the vertical elements from the sketch, I did some partial die cutting with the smallest die from the same set.

Then I temporarly adhered the strips to the panel and stamped the same image again. I was worried to mess up after all of that partial die cutting, but it worked perfectly.

Next, I carefully peeled off the strips and colored the flowers with the following markers; G16, G14, G12, BV04, BV02, BV01, BV00, Y17, Y15. After that I adhered the panel to an 8 3/4″ x 5 5/8″ card base and the strips to the panel. To make them stand out more, I adhered two layers of Black Licorice Card Stock behind each one.

Finally, I heat embossed the sentiment, from the same set, on a strip of Black Licorice Card Stock and added some enamel dots to finish the card.
