Howdy! We’re down to the last Countdown Day before the MFT March Release goes live and I’m back to share a CAS card with an adorable bathing duck.

It’s from the Lucky Duck stamp set, which includes three other ducklings, two frogs, bubbles and some bath accessories. I started by die cutting a panel out of white card stock, using the second largest die from the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 1 Die-namics.

Next, I used a pencil to trace part of the Micro Cloud Edges Stencil to the lower edge of my panel. I stamped the image with a light ink and covered it with some masking paper. Now, I was able to place the stencil on top and ink the edge with Caribbean Sea Premium Dye Ink. This created the illusion of a very messy bathroom floor, while still being clean and simple.

The image was too small for Copic markers, so I used my sharp Prismacolor pencils instead. I also slightly simplified it by getting rid of the frog’s arms.

Before moving on to the sentiment, I adhered a panel of patterned paper from the Party Plaid Paper Pad to an A2 top fold card base. Next, I adhered the main panel to the ensemble with a piece of fun foam.

For the card message I went with a heat embossed strip of Caribbean Sea Prestige Card Stock. I completed the partial sentiment with a large “You” die cut with the All About You Die-namics.

As a last touch, I added five iridescent clear enamel dots. I love how they draw your eyes to the sentiment! OK, that’s all for today. As always, I now invite you to visit the MFT Blog for more inspiration. Thanks for stopping by and do come back tomorrow to celebrate the March release!
