A fun hello card for CAS

An autumn themed card for Create a Smile by Laura Dovalo.

Hi there! I’m back with a fun autumn themed hello card. This one is for the new challenge at Create a Smile. Keep reading to find out more about it…

Last week I created this fun card featuring gnomes and autumn leaves for La Pareja Creativa. I colored some watercolor papers with different Infusions pigment powders and die cut the leaves. I had some left over scraps of watercolor paper, so I stamped the mini leaves from the fun Unfrogettable set by Create a Smile on it, to create another autumn card.

The idea behind the hello card

I was going through my stash of Create a Smile products and noticed that the pattern of the Waves stencil also reminded me of wind… so I grabbed a piece of grey cardstock and used Hero Arts Unicorn Pigment ink to partially ink the stencil. Then I used a Clarity brush to gently ink the rest of the panel.

The frog with the cute leaf umbrella was perfect for this wind idea, so I stamped it with black Memento ink on some Neenah 110 lb white cardstock, colored it with Copic markers and fussy cut the image, after backing the cardstock with some double-sided Stick-It adhesive.

I added some Glossy Accents to the frog’s eyes and rubber boots and also to the warm grey Alphabet stickers that I used for the sentiment, a fun hello that is blowing away…

Now, please head on over to the Create a Smile blog and check out what my team mates made (if you came from there, thank you very much for your visit). By the way, here’s another fun card of mine featuring a frog. Until next time!
