Ya toca nuevo reto Weekly Sketch Challenge (WSC541) en el blog de MFT. Seguí el boceto a rajatabla y creé una tarjeta con dos cuadros envejecidos y los divertidos conejos del set de sellos BB Strike Up the Band.

I started by gluing a piece of patterned paper from the Wallpaper Patterns Paper Pad to an A2 card base of Smooth White Card Stock. To make it look aged, I added a light layer of Kraft Premium Dye Ink to it.

Next, I die cut a couple of the frames from the Trendy Tags Die-namics out of Copic friendly card stock and Gold Shine Card Stock and stacked them. I then stamped the bunnies on the inside pieces with a light ink and colored them with Prismacolor Pencils.

To make my paintings look distressed, I added some Kraft Premium Dye Ink around the edges and two thin layers of Cracked Accents on top of them. I applied the latter with my fingers because I didn’t want the surface to look too smooth and shiny.

In order to give the frames some nice texture and dimension, I applied Nuvo Crackle Mousse (Egyptian Gold) to them. They turned out really nice and vintage looking.

Finally, I heat embossed one of the phrases from the Essential Sentiments stamp set on a banner, die cut with one of the dies from the Essential Stitched Sentiment Strips Die-namics. I adhered the banner of Caribbean Sea Prestige Card Stock to my card with foam tape.

I was dying to add some gold enamel drops to finish the card, but they would have taken away from the realism of the scene. Before you head on to the MFT Blog for more inspiration, you might want to take a look at THIS Halloween card with a spooky painting. Thanks for stopping by!
