Hello there! I’m so excited because today I’m sharing a sweet winter scene card that I created for the first ever Slimline Challenge at MFT!

The slimline format is great because it offers so much more space to play with than a regular A2 card. I took advantage of this to fill my winter scene with the cute birds from the Winter Songbird stamp set.

I started by stamping all of them, as well as some greenery, with Extreme Black Hybrid Ink on Copic-friendly paper. After that I did some basic coloring and die cut the birds with matching dies.

Next, I went to work on my winter landscape… First, I die cut a panel out of Sno Cone Card Stock using the rectangular die from the Slimline Starter Die-namics. I adhered it to an 8 1/2″ x 7″ (21,6cm x 17,8cm) card base of Smooth White Card Stock.

The following step was to add some slopes, die cut with the Stitched Slimline Snow Drifts Die-namics. I adhered the first one with double sided tape and the second one with foam tape, leaving the edge free so that I could stick the branches behind it. For the sentiment I went with a banner, also from the Slimline Starter Die-namics in Tropical Teal Prestige Card Stock with a message from the SY Frost-Loving Friends.

That’s it from me for today. I hope I have inspired you to participate in THIS fun new challenge. You could be the lucky winner of a $50 gift card to the MFT Boutique! Before you go, you might want to check out these other winter scene slimlime cards that I’ve made:
