CAS gnome card for WSC510

CAS gnome card for WSC510.

Hi again! I’m back for a new Weekly Sketch Challenge (WSC510) at the MFT Blog. My CAS card features one of the fun characters from the BB Hanging with My Gnomies stamp set.

Last week for WSC509, I closely followed the sketch and this time, I did the same. For the vertical element, I cut a strip of patterned paper from the Happy Trails Paper Pad and adhered it to my A2 card base of Smooth White Card Stock.

The three horizontal strips reminded me of some kind of fence… So, I used one of the dies from the Skinny Strips Die-namics to die cut them out of Kraft Card Stock. Then I used a couple of Copic markers to add a wood texture to them.

Next, I stamped the sentiment from the Greetings & Salutations set onto the middle wood plank and adhered the two lower ones to my card base.

Coloring the gnome was so much fun… especially the beard, although in hindsight, I should have made it gray. That way it would have stood out more from the plank… I used the following Copic markers for all of the elements; W1, W00, E11, E21, E000, R01, BG07, BG05, BG02, E37, E35, E31, R29 and R24.

I hope you join in the fun, create a project inspired by the WSC510 sketch and add it in the Inlinkz link-up at the MFT Blog. It could be a card, layout, some home decor… whatever you can think of. A $50 gift voucher to the MFT Boutique will be drawn among the participants. Good luck and thanks for stopping by!
