We’re down to Day 2 of the MFT May Release Countdown and today I’m sharing a slimline card with beautiful butterflies.

They’re from the Spread your Wings set. I stamped them on Heavyweight Translucent Vellum with black StazOn ink. Then I die cut them with the matching dies and colored them with Prismacolor pencils.

Next, I die cut a panel of Ken Oliver Watercolor Paper with the rectangular die from the Slimline Starter Die-namics and heat embossed part of the Scattered Triangles Background on it, in white.

After that I used the following Premium Dye Inks as watercolor to create little stains and splatters: Candied Yam, Butterscotch, Sour Apple, Caribbean Sea, Lazy Day and Something Blue.

I also used the Something Blue Prestige Card Stock for my 7″ x 8 1/2″ card base. It’s such a pretty color, isn’t it? For the sentiment I went with a vellum banner die cut with the smallest dies from the Stitched Fishtail Sentiment Strips. I folded the right edge and adhered it to the back of my panel. I also hid some clear glue dots behind the heat embossed phrase.

Of course, I had to add some matching enamel dots to finish the card. I hope you visit the MFT Blog for more inspiration. Thanks for stopping by!
