Hi again! We’re down to Day 3 of the MFT July Release Countdown, and I’ve made a clean and simple Birthday card with a large cake from the Celebrate with Cake Die-namics.
I love these types of versatile die sets! You can create a bunch of totally different looking cakes… This time I just made it really simple and added three colorful scallop borders to bring attention to the candles.
I die cut four of each number, using the Impact Numbers Die-namics, and stacked them. For the last layer I chose yellow polkadot paper from the Over the Rainbow Paper Pack. I decided to cover them with Glossy Accents to make them look more like candles.
Then I used the inside piece of the “&” symbol for the flames and some of the string from the Birthday Cocktail Die-namics for the wicks.
I also slightly modified the cake stand, cut out of Gold Shine Card Stock, by cutting it in half and separating the pieces to make it look longer. I covered the hole with a skinny banner with an embossed sentiment from the Bitty Birthday Wishes stamp set.
