Flying witch card for Day 2

Hiya! For Day 2 of the MFT August Release Countdown, I created a Halloween card with a cute flying witch from the Best Witches stamp set.

On Day 5 of the August Release Countdown, I showed you how to use the new Interactive Up & Down Die-namics in THIS video tutorial. For today’s card I used the mechanism vertically instead of horizontally and hid the slits behind the moon and grass…

The effect is quite unexpected and fun. When the pull tab is pulled, the witch flies to the left while the bat flies to the right.

I simply adhered strips of acetate to the double sided tape of the sliding elements. The one that I used for the witch was a little bit longer. I folded it at her feet and it goes all the way to her head.

I tried using a magnet to move the pumpkin across the grass, but the weight of it was too much for the mechanism, so I went with a bat flying across the sky instead. Speaking of mechanisms… the brad is actually hidden behind the center cloud!

On the above close up you can see the acetate strips more clearly, as well as the Copic coloring and fussy cutting.
