Interactive painter card for MFT

Painter card for the MFT August Hits & Highlights.

Hi there! I’m back from my summer vacation totally rested and with a bunch of new ideas. Today I’m sharing an interactive card with a cute painter for the August Hits & Highlights feature over at the MFT Blog.

Hits & Highlights banner.
It features the PI You Color My World stamp and matching die. When the pull tab is pulled, the girl rotates her right arm to color the sweet rainbow from the Fairy-Tale Friends stamp set.

I did some partial stamping and fussy cutting to separate the arm from the body and then I used a 1/4″ hole punch to punch a hole in both the body (under her shoulder) and the main card panel.

After that I used dies from the Meet in the Middle Interactive Die-namics set to create the simple mechanism. Instead of going with the donut shapes from the set, I used a 1/4″ thick foam dot to adhere the arm to the rotating brad. Check out THIS video tutorial, or THIS blog post, to understand what I’m talking about.

To decorate this clean and simple card, I adhered a piece of patterned paper from the Over the Rainbow Paper Pack to the 8 6/8″ x 5 5/8″ cardbase.

I also added drops of Glossy Accents to the blobs of paint and paintbrush to give them some volume and shine. That’s a wrap! Tomorrow I’ll be back with another clean and simple card.
