Multi-layered card for CC138

Multi-layered card for Color Challenge 138 at MFT.

I was dying to use the Lots of Hearts Cover-Up Die-namics to create a multi-layered card and the beautiful color combo for this week’s Color Challenge (#138), gave me the perfect opportunity for that.

Pink and turquoise look so good together and the soft yellow, just adds some balance into the mix. It was also refreshing to combine these beautiful colors with a more natural white, although it was quite difficult to photograph…

I diecut four layers of the beautiful die in Blu Raspberry, Ripe Raspberry, Lemon Chiffon and Primitive White and grabbed a pair of sharp scissors to cut out some of the hearts.

Of course, for each blue heart to be seen, I had to cut out the corresponding hearts in the overlapping colors; pink, yellow and white. I repeated the operation with each of the colors and I really like the result. However, the multi-layered card ended up being quite heavy.

To finish the card, I added a vellum banner (die cut with one of my favorite dies from the Skinny Strips Die-namics set), with a heat embossed sentiment from the Bitty Thanks & Gratitude stamp set.

I hid one edge under the white heart and added a mini adhesive dot under the “o”, to keep it in place. As always, I just had to add some matching enamel dots. In case you’re wondering, I do have quite a stash of them. ^_^
