CAS Birthday card for dad

Hello again! Another month has rolled by and it’s time to kick off the MFT May R elease Countdown! Today I’m sharing a CAS Birthday card that I made for dad.

His Birthday isn’t until August, but one of the images from the BB Festive Old Friends totally reminded me of him and I just had to use it. The same thing happened last year with the BB Old Friends stamp set, when I created THIS card for dad.

This time the likeness is uncanny, LOL! The hair, clothing and even the glasses are the same… everything except for the cane, which I got rid of with some partial stamping.

As always, I stamped the image with Extreme Black Hybrid Ink and colored it with the following Copic markers:

• Skin: E11, E21, E00
• Hair: W3, W1, W00
• Balloon: R24, R22, R20
• Clothing: W10, W7, B97, B95, B93, B91, B00, B000, R39, R37

After I was done with the coloring, I popped it up on my panel, die cut with the second largest die from the Stitched Mod Rectangle STAX Die-namics out of Smooth White Card Stock.

For the secondary panel, I did some tone on tone ink blending with the Punched Pattern Stencil and Something Blue Premium Dye Ink on Something Blue Card Stock. It’s such a lovely color, isn’t it?

I was dying to use the new In Stitches Alphabet Die-namics! The letters look gorgeous in Silver Shine Card Stock! I combined them with a simple hand cut heat embossed banner of Black Licorice Prestige Card Stock.
